When the World Cup was held in 2010, that was my first time to backpacking. I've been planning it for a long time. With two of my friends, we decided to go to Bali. As we know, Bali is one of the best places in Indonesia. A lot of people go to Bali for holiday.
Finally we get a train ticket with less than Rp 20.000. The train depart at 3 pm and is expected to arrive in Banyuwangi at 1 am. But the trains were late. So the trip was delayed almost 3 hours. We were out of luck. The trains full of passengers. We didn't get a seat. Really tiring trip.
We arrived at Banyuwangi's station at 3 am. We take advantage of for a short break. After that we continue our trip. Gilimanuk harbor close to the station so we just walk to get there. With less than Rp 10.000 we've been able to cross the Bali strait by boat. We continue to rest during the trip. After the boat pulled up,we continue the trip by bus. We waited long enough to get the bus. With Rp 25000 we've been able to go to terminal ubud. This trip took more than 2 hours. Since this was our first trip, we didn't know how to go to Kuta beach. Kuta beach is our main destination. After a long wait, we were offered by someone to rent a car. This is an expensive way to go there.
